Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate (RA) in the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change funded project entitled “Hyperspectral Imaging for sharper definitions of Himalayan Ecosystems and its high value plant species under climate uncertainties” under Dr. Prashant K. Srivastava (Principal Investigator), IESD, BHU, Varanasi. The sanctioned duration of the project is three years. The posts are temporary and are co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualifications:
The candidate should have PhD degree in Environmental Science/ Electronics/ Computer Science/Environmental Science & Technology/ Geoinformatics/ Physics/ Mathematics/Atmospheric sciences or related subject with at least 60% marks. NET/GATE candidates will be given preference. The upper age limit is 45 years, which is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. The fellowship for RA is 47000/- pm + HRA as per government of India rules.
Desirable qualifications:
Prior research experience of remote sensing data handling and good publications in impact factor journals.
