Job Description (JRF):
An Online Walk-in-Interview is scheduled for filling up the following position at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi under the project funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The position is purely on a temporary basis and coterminous with the project. (JRF)
EMOLUMENTS (Per month): Rs. 31000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year, and thereafter Rs. 35000 + HRA for 3rd Year as SRF. (Candidates, with M. Sc. Degree and without NET if selected, will be paid to assign the post of Project Associate I @ Rs.25000/- + HRA per month for the initial two years, and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA as Project Associate II.) HRA shall be paid as per the University rules.
DURATION: The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of three months, which can be extended further depending upon the performance of the candidate.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 55% in M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Integrated M.Tech. in Remote Sensing/ GIS/Geoinformatics. Preference may be given to the candidates with research interests & fieldwork (primarily in the forest) as per the requirement of the project. Candidates with NET will be preferred.
DESIRABLE: Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data and satellite data products, Census, NSSO, meteorological data etc.), with working knowledge of hyperspectral & microwave remote sensing, R, Python, MATLAB software(s), artificial intelligence, machine learning etc. will be preferred.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: JRF/ PA I will be responsible to carry out various image processing, GIS analysis, AIML, report writing, fieldwork etc. The candidate may have to perform the extensive field activities related to the project as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Candidates must ensure proper his/ her internet facility/ connectivity at their end for attending the online interview and other formalities. The candidate should have all required qualifications as of the date of the interview failing which the candidature will not be considered. The candidature will be subjected to verification of the certificates, degree, testimonials in original as part of the essential qualification/ experience etc. in person for the aforesaid position.
