Job Description (NIH Roorkee Recruitment)
National Institute of Hydrology invites applications through e-mail for the following purely project-based temporary position under the NHP project at the Central India Hydrology Regional Centre, WALMI Campus Bhopal (M.P.).

B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil Engineering/Agricultural Engineering
M.E./M.Tech. in Civil Engineering/Water Resources/ Hydrology/Agricultural Engineering/Remote sensing and GIS.
Post Graduate Degree in Earth Science/Applied Geology/Environmental Science
Selected through a process described through any of the following:
a. Scholars qualifying National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
b. National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, BITs etc.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in hydrological modelling & irrigation planning, good knowledge in groundwater modeling and GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS etc.
Nature of Work: Satellite data analysis, field investigation, soil sample collection, statistical analysis, data processing and hydrological modelling.
