Job Description (Senior Research Fellow)

Walk-In-Interview will be conducted for purely project based temporary position at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. Candidates have appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good experience may appear for Walk-In- Interview on 29.04.2022 (10:00 AM onwards). Candidates appearing for Interview must bring all original copies (with xerox copy) of certificates, testimonials, experience etc along with an application. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the Interview. Candidates are advised to wear mask and observe social distancing and follow instructions related to COVID-19.

DST – SEED Division project entitled “Water Security through Inventory and Revival of Springs using Hydro-geological Action Research in Cold Desert Region of Himachal Pradesh”

1.	Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (01) – with NET/GATE qualification for M. Sc. Degree. NET/GATE is not criteria for M. Tech.Degree	First Class Master degree in Soil & Water Conservation/Hydr ology/Water Resource Development & Management/ Civil/ Environmental Engg./Geology/Earth Sciences/ Environmental Science from recognized university. Two years’ experience is needed.	Preference will be given to the candidates having research experience/ knowledge of water resource development and assessment works, watershed management, groundwater or spring rejuvenation work, hydrological simulation modeling, soil and water conservation, application of RS and GIS etc.	SRF will be responsible for Analytical work of the projectsDesign and analysis of hydro-geological work and groundwater rejuvenation workCapacity building programmesCompilation and writing of report (quarterly basis) and other research publicationsNOTE: The SRF may be posted at Almora, Uttarakhandand or Kullu, Himachal Pradesh on need basis.

Salary: SRF @ Rs.35,000/- + HRA @ 8%. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically handicapped candidates as per rules.
