Job Description (Project Coordinator Cum Post-Doctoral Fellows)

research project under the Principal investigator {Name: Prof. Ankit Agrawal), Hydrology, Indian Institute of
Technology Roorkee.
- Title of project: Co-PREPARE: Collaborative Indo-German project on estimating and predicting
natural hazards in the Himalayan region - Sponsor of the project: UGC-1670-HYD122-23
- Project position(s) and number: Project Coordinator Cum Post-Doctoral Fellows: ONE NUMBER
- Essential Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Industrial/Environmental Engineering Environmental Management,
Hydrology, Water Resources with good understanding of Hydrology, Climate Change Impact, RS
and GIS and Disaster Risk Reduction - Should have at least 3 years of Work Experiences in Indian Himalayan Region.
- Knowledge and experience in remote sensing and GIS are preferable.
- High quality publications are desirable.
- Working experience of plthon program, systems-modelling, social networks
- Experience in handling projects and International Relations would be a plus
- Experience in organizing workshops/conferences/training programs etc.
- Exposure in creating outreach platforms (Blogs. Podcast, Website. Etc…) is desirable
- Should be open to mentor Ph.D. and master’s students
- Should be able to take initiatives independently and should be a great team player.
- Should be able to stay in field for work, travel abroad
Duration: Upto June 30, 2024
Job description: The rvork inolves Coordinating the project by maintaining information flow
among different stakeholders, (i) Conribute to all research component as per the project details: (ii) Take
initiatives for outreach programs and collaborations; (iii) Actively paficipate among Co-PREPARE research
cohort” (iv) Be able to execute work in a timel.v lnanner as and when they arise during the project course. (v)
Should be able organize workshops and conference
