Job Description (Postdoctoral Research Associate):
Major/Essential Duties of Job:
- Involvement in all aspects of project, including:
- planting and management of field experiments
- ground-truth data collection and analysis
- UAV flight operations
- image processing and machine learning
- development of the integrated Digital Rice Selection System
- preparation of manuscripts for publication and research proposal writing
- other duties as assigned
A high level of productivity for peer-reviewed publications is expected.
Required Education: Ph.D. in Soil Science, Agronomy, Biology, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
Required Experience: Experience presenting research at professional conferences and successful research track indicated by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Required Special Knowledge, Ability, and Skills: Ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish the research objectives. Excellent interpersonal and written skills. Possess a high level of analytical, statistical, organizational and planning skills. Ability to work outdoors and operate a wide range of experimental equipment. Ability to operate a personal computer and basic internet searching capabilities
