Job Specification (PhD-Remote Sensing)
LIESMARS is the leading research institute in remote sensing in Wuhan University, while Wuhan University is the highest ranked university in remote sensing worldwide. LIESMARS is part of the
International Academy of GeoInformation in Wuhan University and is building international research teams. The working and study language within the International Academy of GeoInformation is English.
The doctoral fellow will work in the field of Remote Sensing. We expect the candidate to develop an independent research project in the field of remote sensing. Based on the applicants research idea, we will support the PhD research by finding a suitable supervisor and by providing the necessary research environment.
This PhD position is co-financed between the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) and Wuhan University. The CSC supports non-Chinese Nationals in their study in China. Applicants will apply at the CSC for scholarships covering study fees and living expenses. Additional research related expenses will be covered by LIESMARS and Wuhan University.
Required Qualification:
University diploma or master in remote sensing, photogrammetry, or other relevant topics.
Applicants should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Language:
The working language is English. A very good speaking/writing knowledge is required.
