Job Description (Junior Research Fellow)

Applications are invited for the position of ‘Junior Project Fellow’ in the Department of ‘Humanities and Social Sciences’ at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for a MoEFCC sponsored research project titled “Scenarios of carbon sequestration Potential in India’s forest sector in context of global goals of paris agreement on climate change and bonn challenge on Reclamation of Degraded lands”

Principal Investigator: Dr. Rajiv Kumar Chaturvedi

Key skills required: Climate Data analysis, Remote Sensing, GIS, R/ Python based programming, Forest modelling, Ecological field work.

Experience Required: Experience in Climate data analysis and Remote Sensing will be highly valued

Duration of the project: One Year

Fellowship Amount (Rs.): INR 28,000 (fixed)

Qualification: Masters (MSc./M.Tech) in a relevant subject (Forestry, Ecology, Remote Sensing & GIS, or related) or B.Tech with two years of research experience in the relevant field.
