Job Description (Junior Research Fellow):

Applications are invited for the position of ‘Junior Research Fellow’ in the Department of ‘Humanities and Social Sciences’ at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for an IDDRI, France, sponsored research project titled “From NDCs to pathways and Policies: Transformative climate Action After Paris”

Principal Investigator: Dr. Rajiv Kumar Chaturvedi

Key skills required: R/ Python based programming, Remote Sensing, GIS, experience and interest in forest policy and land-use research

Experience Required: You must enjoy coding, you must be really good in Python/R, you must be interested in dealing with large datasets and numbers, and undertaking long-term research on forest policy, climate policy and land-use emission systems as this position may lead to your applying for PhD degree. You should be a team player able to work with industry partners and international collaborators.

Duration of the project: Three years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.): INR 31,000 (fixed) Last date of Application: 20th of January, 2021
