Job Description (Junior Research Fellow):
Applications are invited for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project entitled “Environmental Impact of Anthropogenic Activities on Wetland Bio-Diversity of Rudrasagar Lake, The Ramsar Site of Tripura” funded by DBT, Government of India, under the Principal lnvestigatorship of Dr. Saptarshi Mitra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Disaster Management.
The post is purely temporary with a monthly fellowship of Rs.31,000/- + admissible HRA.
Educational Qualification: Applicants having NET/ GATE/ SLET or Similar Qualification of National Level and minimum 55% marks in MA/M.Sc in Geography (with Specialization in Regional Planning/ Environmental Geography/ Geomorphology) or Environmental Science are desirable for the interview.
Experience: Experience in field work along with survey instruments handling and knowledge of Remote sensing and GIS is highly preferable.
