National Technical Research Organisation intends registration of desirous Remote Sensing Data Specialist, GIS Data Specialist and Geospatial Software Engineer for engagement of positions purely on contract basis for which the ONLINE registrations would remain open during the period as mentioned above.
1. Remote Sensing Data Specialist (New Delhi)/ GIS Data Specialist (Bangalore)
- Essential Educational Qualification
B. Tech / M. Tech (Remote Sensing / GIS / Geoinformatics/ Geomatics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication) from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Working Experience
0-5 years with required skillsets from a reputed Company / Organization. Candidates.
- Responsibilities and required skillsets:
(i) Organize data acquired from aircraft, satellites, or ground-based platforms, using statistical analysis software, image analysis software, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
(ii) Proficiency in Process and Organize geospatial data sources to create products such as land cover maps, Change detection etc.
(iii) Build databases for remote sensing or related geospatial project information.
(iv) Customize and integrate image relate applications through ANN and Fuzzy logics, image classification techniques, including unsupervised classification, supervised classification etc.
(v) Efficient in using COTS and open source remote sensing software such as ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, QGIS, etc.
2. GIS Software Engineer (Bangalore)
- Essential Educational Qualification
B. Tech/ BE/ M. Tech (Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Geomatics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication); or MCA from a recognized University/Institute.
- Working Experience
1-5 years required skillsets in Developing GIS based solution from a reputed Company/ Organization.
Responsibilities and required skillsets:
(A) Remote Sensing Data Specialist
(i) Organize data acquired from aircraft, satellites, or ground-based platforms, using statistical analysis software, image analysis software, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
(ii) Proficiency in Process and Organize geospatial data sources to create products such as land cover maps, Change detection etc.
(iii) Build databases for remote sensing or related geospatial project information.
(iv) Customize and integrate image relate applications through ANN and Fuzzy logics, image classification techniques, including unsupervised classification, supervised classification etc.

(B) GIS Data Specialist
(i) Profound GIS knowledge, as a GIS specialist is expected to work with various GIS applications like ArcGIS and Open Source Packages, Geo Database management.
(ii) Create geospatial layers, feature class, shape files to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.
(iii) Develop mapping applications and tools.
(iv) Understand databases and be able to create well-written and detailed reports, solve technical problems, and use math and statistics to analyze data.
(v) Perform complex data analysis using GIS and related extensions/add-ons, relational databases, and other computer software.
(C) Geospatial Software Engineer
(i) Proficiency with front end design languages such as .Net, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and various mapping languages.
(ii) Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python, PostgreSQL.
(iii) Develop mapping applications and tools.
(iv) Experience in Angular JS/React JS/Advanced Java Scripts (OOPS), HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Bootstrap.
(v) Experience in popular web frameworks like jQuery, Spring MVC or any other equivalent.
